Dr. Lehua Maloney was born and raised on the Big Island of Hawaii. Dr. Maloney did all her schooling through undergraduate in Hawaii, then was accepted to the Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Program at University of Minnesota in 2003. The winter of 2003 was her very first! 

Dr. Maloney was awarded her DVM in 2007 and continued to live and work in Minnesota after meeting her husband Dave, who was well rooted in the area. Dr. Maloney purchased Winona Veterinary Hospital in 2012. 

Dr. Maloney has special interests and advanced training in soft tissue and orthopedic surgery, canine reproduction and small mammal (rabbit, guinea pig) medicine and surgery. She recently has taken orthopedic surgery to a new level learning TPLOs for the repair of cruciate ligament tears. 

Dr. Maloney splits her time between the Big Island of Hawaii and Winona, MN. When not working Dr Maloney can be found at the barn with her two Connemara ponies, or wandering the wilds with her poodles.
